So as we are into the summer I was thinking about the content I have consumed over the last year I have read books on topics that just 2 years ago I would not have cared about, I read at least 1 book every month so I just thought I would like to share some them with you.
1.) The subtle art of not giving a f*ck by Mark Manson
My absolute favourite, I sympathised with the stories that were being told and my favourite section is relating to life goals, definitely worth checking out if you want to understand what true happiness is in life and why you should choose wisely what you spend your life pursuing.
2.) Take control of your life By Mel Robbins
Mel demonstrates that you need to take things slow in when it comes to aspirations while offering insights on how you could achieve these goals and why the end result isn’t always what you truly want (This book covers 3 sessions with 3 different people who feel trapped to take control in their life)
3.) The code of the extraordinary mind by Vishen Lakhiani
A great book with some great perspectives on mindsets and rules and why you shouldn’t be rigid and why reviewing & updating these can help you to continue growing.
4.) Happy by Derren Brown
Derrin takes us on a tour of sorts examining the pillars of stoicism and to quote Derren “the stories we tell ourselves” we all could do by looking at these philosophers that wherein a different era than we are now and thought about life in a different way.
5.) Atomic habits By James Clear
A great book about getting to the root of habits & habit formation and to what the benefits are for everyday life, definitely a book to read.
6.) Everything is fucked By Mark Manson
Mark offers insights into our cognition my favourite section was showing examples of how we have 2 brains (Thinking & fellling) absolutely interesting would recommend.
7.) 12 Rules for Life By Jordan B Peterson
which I have only just started but I feel I can safely recommend this as I myself was told about professor Petersons book and if he puts even a fraction into this book as he has put into his lectures or podcast topics I couldn’t recommend it enough!
