a sweet interaction

I had a sweet interaction this afternoon. I was stopped on my daily walk by a woman. She told me she saw me walking a lot and noticed the weight I’d been losing. It was so sweet, but it completely caught me off guard. After all, I find it so difficult to judge my own work at times, so It’s motivating and nice to have external validation of that effort.

I genuinely believe that there are moments in life that are time and place that if it had been 15 minutes earlier or later, I would have missed them, and this interaction wouldn’t have happened; I’ve had a couple of these moments over the last couple of months and each one has been a blessing. I’m sharing this as a signpost to myself and others to give people more compliments even if you don’t know them; if you see something, say something.
